Something has change, went in and was seated within 5 minutes of us entering. The busboy bought the utilities and the water right away. Then the waitress came over to take our order. Our order was ready a few minutes of her putting our order in. The food seen different. The pancakes looked smaller, the eggs tasted light and fluffy and the grits had favor to them. The smoke honey ham is always good. The waitress checked on us several times with a warm smile never missing a beat.

I had the banana crepes. They give you so much food. It was very delicious and filling.

The bacon eggs and pancake are always good.

Absolutely delicious! The waffle came with a strawberry syrup that was sooo good! No butter or maple syrup needed!

So this place is a classic pancake house with excellent food and great customer service people from all over chicago come here because the breakfast is amazing and most of all it consistent all the time which is huge, sometimes there's a short wait but expected cause the place stays packed. I might be the only one that loves their Hawaiian style pancakes with real pineapples inside not on top but inside so yummy , plus they give you a special Hawaiian syrup on top. Amazing. But I have rare food taste but needless to say everything there is very tasty and great. Their cooks know what there doing. O also if you call ahead they can make a breakfast party table for you. , when I want 10 or more people, nice idea for family or friend breakfast catchup. Enjoy the Beverly location The Original Pancake House. I know I did. 🤗🤗🤗

This place has the best bacon on the Southside

This was my first time eating here the food was disgusting. I asked for my eggs and turkey links to be well done. The waitress came with the food looking hung over and when I told here my turkey links was not well done, she started for them to get like that the cook would have to keep rolling them back and fourth, really? So I asked to speak with a manager, the waitress or manager did come to my table. So I saw the waitress and she showed me who the manager was her concern was a dumb look like a lost dear walking in traffic and she stated you didn't have to eat the food I showed her the food on the table. I told her I don't know if the cook did make my food property or the waitress did give the cook the order properly. Whatever the case I'll never come her again. This woman manager and waitress has no Serve Etiquette what so ever. I will personally let the people I know not to stop here in Beverly on Western Ave.

The food was fresh and delicious. I enjoyed the Cappuccino, almost as good as in Europe! The place was just the right size, they had booths and tables. There was a free parking lot. The restroom was clean. The waite staff was courteous. No complaints, plan to dine there again!

I loved the pancakes and waffles. Very fluffy and sweet. Nice, speedy service. Friendly service people.

Our server was so sweet & pleasant. The food was delicious. The only complaints I have is they do not allow you to substitute items for an extra charge nor do they serve biscuits & gravy!

The space is bigger than most breakfast spots. Pancakes are phenomenal and the wait staff is fast and friendly.

The management was rude and confrontational. The owner could careless when I called and wrote to him with detailed complaint. I would not recommend eating at this location.

Terrible location to eat breakfast. The service has really changed over the years. My husband and I came in this morning and wasn't greeted at all. We were then told by a waitress to follow her. We were seated but nothing after that. We wait a good 10 minutes and left. Before exiting the building we addressed our concerns with the manager on duty who could care less. Didn't offer any remedies to the service issue we were addressing and had the nerve to say this location in Beverly is ran by the same owner. We mention the fact the location in Oak Lawn service is phenomenal which is where we landed and enjoyed our service and breakfast. Do not go to this location if you care about the quality of service and time.

Love it cozy and comfortable place to have a good breakfast

The food was good and our server was even better.The issue was with the person who set us. She said we could only have two forms of payment and one check. While in the bathroom I spoke with another customer who told me they had received several separate checks and used different forms of payment.

Food was ok, service was slow. Parking is bad, the lot is small. Some street parking.

Do not sleep on this place. It doesn't look like much, but it is a very busy place and the food portions are great. Family oriented. You will love this place and if you don't leave full it's all on you...🙃

Omelet style non traditional...didn't work for me. My order was a carryout. It didn't taste good to me. I couldn't eat it $15 and some change wasted. Still hungry 🙁

First time here.......it was your typical Saturday morning “lets go to breakfast” crowd . The wait was 2 minutes. We was attended to relatively fast. The waitress was nice and attentive . Overall the staff was nice from beginning to end . -pancakes was good -eggs was scrambled hard to perfection -bacon was the thick cut....very good-coffee was good(no favored creams)Instantly definitely a TOP BREAKFAST SPOT 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿I’ll be BACK !!-Parking can be a little tight.-five star ratings typically come from repeated top notch visits !!!

Good place. The pancakes are phenomenal!!! My Eggs Benedict was under whelming and the wait staff was not top notch. But, I could have caught them on an off day. Overall I think you would be pretty pleased with trying this place out!! I love the decor that takes you back in time.

Their (FRANCHISE) operation is and has been, for pitch perfect for fourty years, in my experience. Opened doors on time, seating and food preparation was timely. Their breakfast has set the standard for this mobile.age.

I didn't receive what I ordered there was no strawberry preserves or powdered sugar on my French toast the whole reason I ordered it and not mad it at home 2ndly I ordered patty sausages I don't eat links & my bacon was burned hard.. I really want my money back blew

Predictably a little packed on Sunday, even then slower than expected but the service was still good.

The food is good, bacon is great, service was really good, get there early so you don't have to wait to be seated or look for parking

The service was great, loc. was clean and cozy, even the customers were respectful of each other. The food was perfect. Need to add vegan/vegatable option and that would make it complete

Food is not that good to me its just ok

Foid is good but I found out this location and the Oak Lawn location don't have the same menu as the other locations in Chicago. They have a smaller menu with less items. What I got was good but I won't be able to go to this location to get what I like from there.

Nice place good food and prices ummm well let's say if you got it like that ,spend it.. But I don't got it so.. It's a maybe twice a month outing for my family..

2/8/2020: After a 40 minutes drive to the Beverly location for breakfast, I looked forward to receiving good service and food. What I experienced waz disappointing to say the least. While the food was only ok (hash browns were burnt and flavorless although the eggs were pretty good), our waitress Rosa had a specific attitude with me. By the time payment came around I put $2 on my card for a tip as I only had $5 in cash of which I put on the table. When Rosa saw the $2 tip on the card she made some comment about "didn't even give me 10%". After I heard that unnecessary comment I quickly took back her $5 additional cash tip that she didn't realize was there. Such ignorance. Rosa appears to be young minded so hopefully she will gain some professional experience in time while waitressing. Making comments like that shows just how unprofessional this young girl is and I do not plan on returning anytime soon to this location.

Asked for poached eggs. Got this. Asked for turkey bacon. Got sausage.

The good was not good coffee weak customer service bogus. It is private owned so they deviate from structure corners and serve messy food.

I wouldn't eat this establishment, ever again, the first server that we had was rude, nasty, and had no customer service skills, we spoke with the Manager, she was very pleasant, but first impressions go a long way! The silver ware was dirty, and the tables too! You could get a better meal somewhere else, in my opinion. Not worth the travel!

If you’re looking for some breakfast like Mom makes & the love & hospitality to go with it..PLEASE.. try & make it to The Original House of Pancakes on a 104th & Western.. The Food is Amazing.. My Mommy won’t eat Anywhere Else. And the Service is Fantastic.. The Restaurant is Clean.. even the bathrooms.. And Hopefully you come on a day when The Manager Cara is there.. She will really make you feel welcomed & at home. She Never forgets a Face & she has a Heart Of Gold.The Epitome Of God’s Golden Rule - Treat Others as you want to be Treated! She is Truly an Angel.. And the Staff is really Awesome too : )

The food was awesome.... It took a little while due to an omelet my wife ordered but well worth the wait. They scrambled my eggs to the tea and perfection and as if I scrambled them myself on my own stove.... The bacon was crispy and crunchy yet not greasy... My children enjoyed their waffles, and their banana pancakes soft, fluffy and to die for... Rosa was on waitress, and Ruby assisted her.they were both polite and respectful and hearing to anything that we requested without attitudes or nasty looks.

I Love the Energy from the ppl at this specific location. They are alway warm and welcoming. The servers alway have a smile on their faces. Always asking is there anything You need. I love the food and the service. Good Job 👏🏽

In love with this place since I was a kid. Nothing spectacular really, just good, hot food.

A must-stop when you're in Chicago, everything is world-class try the Apple pancake.

I am not the type of person to do reviews or ratings. And I know people say that there is more bad than good reports. Which I believe is true. However, I must say that when visiting this restaurant the food and the waitresses are always really good. However, today was something different. I had to return my food several times, once for small skimpy bacon and once for burned omelette. Then a centipede crossed the table by the window seating area where my family and I was trying to enjoy breakfast. The manager was informed but never came to the table to check on us. She thought it would be better to resolve the issue by taking things off of our bill which is never needed for me. Service is what keeps people coming back and this is what has lost me and my family for good.

Great service food was amazing cozy atmosphere food came out fast no long wait

Really quick on being seated even during busy time on a Saturday morning. The waitress was really nice and was great paying attention to what we ordered. The only downside was that the omelette seemed just a bit dry. Other than that, pancakes were great, waffle was tasty, and coffee was nice and hot.Will be back!
